5 Best Night Views in Kuala Lumpur

There is something enchanting about the city at night…

Nothing beats watching the panoramic view of Kuala Lumpur’s skyline turning from a red and orangey facade into the beautiful twilight of the night. Well, nothing except for having good food, good music, and especially a good spot to take in the bright lights of KL city.

To that end, KL’s myriad of dining options (with a view) will provide you with the best spots to admire the magnificent skyline of the city at nightfall. From fancy restaurants to rooftop bars to casual dining, here are the seven best night views in KL.

1. Fuego at Troika Sky Dining

Treat yourself to a great selection of authentic South American dishes while you take in the breathtaking night view of KL at this open-aired terrace restaurant.

Fuego at Troika Sky Dining features a thoughtfully laid out dining menu which includes grilled meat and tapas. Their tapas, in particular, is a must-try as they adopt a modern take on the classic South American dish. The food served here is also impactful flavour-wise — a stark contrast to the restaurant’s minimalist interior.

But, the best part of this restaurant is definitely the view of the KL’s fiery sunset — accompanied by Fuego’s delicious food makes for a great experience. Make sure to make reservations in advance if you are planning to visit as the hours during the sunset is the most packed.

2. Marini’s on 57

If you’ve been to KL city, chances are, you would’ve seen the iconic Petronas Twin Towers. After all, the pair of skyscrapers is an attraction not to be missed. But what if we told you there’s a way to up the experience?

Adjacent to the famous twin towers is Petronas Tower 3, wherein you’ll find a restaurant and rooftop bar called Marini’s on 57. Here, you’ll have unfiltered access to the view of the spectacular architecture, along with some great Italian cuisine.f

Imagine the experience of getting to wine and dine on fine Italian food at Marini’s outdoor area — the twins providing magnificent scenery, and especially when they’re lit up at dusk. Add to that the interior of the restaurant that also has a floor-to-ceiling glass window view of the towers and you’ve got an excellent evening ahead.

And if that weren’t enough of an experience for you, step back into the premises and enjoy what their lush rooftop bar has to offer — fine whisky and rare scotch bottles being the opportune word.

3. Marble 8

The next spot on our list is for the steak lovers out there.

Located just one level below Marini’s, Marble 8 is one of the best steakhouses you can visit in KL. What sets this restaurant apart from joints of similar ilk is the view you get as you dine on your high-quality steak.

Similar to the aforementioned Marini’s on 57, there is a spot next to the floor-to-ceiling window in the restaurant that allows you to fully admire the night view of the twin towers. Reservations are, of course, mandatory to secure this highly sought after spot.

Apart from the view, you’ll get a classy (albeit expensive) affair when you dine at this locale. Marble 8 is quite frankly the best in town when it comes to steaks and you’ll definitely get your money’s worth here. If you’re looking to splurge, you could try out their luxurious cuts of prime dry-aged Australian Wagyu beef. Otherwise, the restaurant offers other less “pricey” options like Angus beef.

For a little bit of the bubbly, head over to the 34th floor of Menara KH. You’ll find the Heli Lounge Bar nestled in this fully operational helicopter landing pad. And not to worry, no helicopters will attempt to land on the helipad in the evening — the locale is only accessible to helicopters during the daytime.

Unobstructed by walls or windows, you’ll get a panoramic view of the city and the dramatic sunset over the skyling. It’s no surprise that Heli Lounge Bar has been steadily gaining a reputation as a spot for great sweeping photos of the city, as well as attracting hordes of Instagrammers looking to update their newsfeed.

Though, amidst the frenzied photo-snapping and Instagram stories, don’t forget to take a moment to admire the view — not through a len or screen but with your own eyes!

Now sit back, relax and enjoy the slight breeze of the bustling city below while sipping on one of the many varieties of beverages such as cocktails, juices, wines, beers, and more.
