If you’re planning a trip to southern Taiwan—better known as Tainan—and are looking for a stay that blends modern comfort with cultural charm, Just Sleep Tainan Hushan Hotel is a wonderful choice. The property is also relatively new, having opened in 2021.
A Relaxing Stay with a Cultural Edge
Just Sleep Tainan Hushan Hotel combines the comfort of a resort with authentic cultural charm, all built on its core value of “to serve as we would like to be served (將心比心、待人如己)”.
Conveniently located near the Tainan High Speed Rail (HSR) station but tucked away from the hustle of the city, this hotel is a charming resort-style retreat. The atmosphere is warm and tranquil, making it a perfect spot to recharge.

While it’s located slightly outside the city center, it never feels isolated. In fact, it sits right beside the Ten-Drum Cultural Village and the CHIMEI Museum, two must-visit attractions in Tainan.
Just Sleep Tainan Hushan hotel’s design pays tribute to Tainan’s history as a sugar refinery hub, with subtle industrial references worked into its interiors. There are also drum-inspired decor and furniture that tie in beautifully with its cultural neighbour, Ten-Drum Cultural Village.

Upon stepping into the lobby, you’ll notice it’s styled more like a warm living room than a typical hotel hall. Guests instantly feel at ease, and if you walk a little further in, you’ll find a mini cart offering limited-edition local snacks from Tainan—a thoughtful touch that introduces visitors to the city’s identity.
The Grand Deluxe Family Suite
I stayed in the Grand Deluxe Family Suite, which is designed with families and longer stays in mind. A bench-lined entryway makes it easy to take off your shoes and set down luggage before entering the main room.
The suite itself has two queen-sized beds and a private balcony. When I pulled back the curtains, I was greeted by a view that reminded me of the European countryside: the grand CHIMEI Museum in the distance, with high-speed trains occasionally gliding past.
Families staying here will appreciate the bathroom’s thoughtful layout, which combines practicality with a touch of luxury. There is a standing shower for quick refreshes, a separate toilet equipped with a bidet, and a spacious vanity area for daily routines. Another standout feature is the bathtub, which is made into a relaxing ritual with the addition of bath salts provided by the hotel. I believe a good bathroom layout makes all the difference, and at Just Sleep Tainan Hushan, it definitely lived up to my expectations.
Glamping-style themed room
During my stay, I also had the chance to peek into the hotel’s glamping-style themed room, designed especially with families and groups in mind. This playful space can accommodate up to eight guests, featuring two double-deck beds and a sofa couch. The room is decorated with whimsical details like a teepee tent, fairy lights and camping lamps, bringing the fun of the outdoors inside while still offering the comfort of a hotel stay. It’s a creative and fun option for families with kids or groups of friends looking for a more memorable experience together.
Poolside Relaxation and the Good Lounge
For those who like to spend time outdoors, Just Sleep Tainan Hushan also has an outdoor pool equipped with sunbeds and cabanas. While not massive, the pool area is perfect for winding down, catching some sun, or simply enjoying a slower pace of travel. Parents travelling with little ones will appreciate the dedicated wading pool designed just for kids, alongside the main pool.
Another fun feature is the Good Lounge on the second floor. It’s a casual space where guests can bring in the street snacks they’ve picked up, sit back and relax, or even get some laundry done. The lounge also comes with a playful touch—there’s a table soccer setup that makes it easy to unwind or spark a little friendly competition.
Dining at Just Café
The hotel keeps things simple with a single on-site dining venue, Just Café, located on the lobby level.
The cafe is an all-day dining venue led by a team of chefs from Silks Place Tainan, a 5-star luxury hotel.
Whether you’re looking for a quick bite before heading out or a relaxed meal after exploring Tainan, Just Café provides a convenient and comfortable option without having to leave the hotel.
Breakfast is available from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM, lunch from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM, and dinner from 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM.

Getting to Tainan from Taoyuan International Airport
If you’re flying into Taoyuan International Airport (TPE), the easiest way to get to Tainan is by taking the High Speed Rail (HSR). The journey takes around 90 minutes, making it one of the fastest and most convenient options.
From Tainan High Speed Rail station, Just Sleep Tainan Hushan Hotel is just a short drive away—another reason it’s a great choice for travellers who want easy access without being right in the middle of the city’s hustle and bustle.
