Helmed by a renowned and passionate baker

For close to two decades, Nagoya-born Chef Shinya Tajima has been honing his culinary craft. With over 200 F&B outlets in Aichi Prefecture and Tokyo already under his belt, he set out for Singapore where he could showcase the best of Japanese cuisine.

Moving to Singapore two years ago, he sees Singapore as a gateway to Asia where he wishes to showcase his products.

During the lockdown period, he ordered cakes from many bakeries. Out of the many brands, Chocolate Origin’s cakes managed to stand out and won Shinya Tajima over. He was particularly drawn to the fact that the bakery uses high-quality products to make its confectioneries. After negotiations, the owner of Chocolate Origin sold the business to him, knowing that it would be in good hands.
