White beaches, pristine waters, and breath-taking landscapes is what comes to mind when one thinks of Indonesia.
The Indonesian archipelago has more than 17,000 islands, with about 6000 that are inhabited – making it the largest archipelago in the world. Islands such as Java, Sumatra and Borneo are wide and vast, being few of the biggest ones in the world.
One might think of Bali for a sandy getaway – and while we love the famed Island of Gods, why not give these smaller islands a visit? Housing stunning beaches, volcanoes, world-class diving destinations and exotic cultures, here is our round-up of the best Indonesian islands worth travelling to.
