Surfer’s Paradise on the Gold Coast of Australia

The Gold Coast, or surfer’s paradise as many would call it, is situated in the sunshine state of Queensland and only an hour drive from Brisbane. Best known for its large swathes of golden sandy beaches and promenades all along the eastern coastline, the area is also home to many popular amusement parks, conservation sanctuaries, luxurious hotels and serviced apartments. It’s close location to Brisbane means that this makes this destination the perfect family getaway for visitors from near and far.

With so many attractions both natural and manmade in the Gold Coast, it can be hard to choose what to do. Here is an itinerary for a 5D4N stay in the Gold Coast with the top attractions that you don’t want to miss.

Day 1: Warner Bros. Movie World Theme Park

Warner Bros. Movie World is Australia’s number 1 amusement park that keeps staying current with regular expansions and refurbishments of existing areas. Coming in 2024 is an entirely new zone to the park themed as the ‘Wizard of Oz’ which will include a suspended rollercoaster, a boomerang racer and immersive experiences for guests. Additionally, a flash rollercoaster is also in the works set to open in the near future standing 30 meters tall at its peak. With all your superheroes and celebrity icons in one spot, it’s time to pull out the camera and get ready for the flashes! The park is open year-round and definitely a great family-friendly attraction for the children.
