Foodies rejoice! Singapore Food Festival is back for this 29th edition and will be happening from Aug 24 to Sep 11.
The theme for this year is “Real Foodies Only”, with 3 different components to the fair – Food Festival, Virtual Masterclass and a newly introduced Virtual Marketplace.
Eat til’ you drop at the Festival Village, arguably the most anticipated part of the entire Food Festival, which is located at Bayfront Event Space. It will be held from Aug 31 to Sept 11.
Feast on a mix of local and contemporary dishes from more than 25 food vendors. There is even a Chef Arena for you to indulge in a nine-course dinner, specially curated by the chefs from their Virtual Masterclass. Other highlights of the event include Workshops and other fun activities like the Carousel and Euroswing.
You would need a ticket to enter the Festival Village. Ticket pricing starts from $15 for a Single Pax on a Weekday. Most of the tickets come with credits which you can use at the festival.
Follow along with the best of the industry and learn to make your favourite dishes. Centered around Heritage, Contemporary, and Innovation, there are many unique masterclasses taught by esteemed local and international chefs. Otak-otak Udang, Burnt Coconut Mee Chang Kueh, and Angel Hair “Bak Chor Mee” are some of the dishes taught in the masterclass. The best part is that it is absolutely free to view!
There are also food kits available for purchase so you can easily follow the lesson without the hassle of sourcing and finding all the right ingredients.
If you aren’t able to visit the Festival Village, you can drop by the Virtual Marketplace. It is a cool recreation of the physical Festival Village. There are many different stores to look around and explore virtually.
There are multiple fringe events happening this year as well. Dempsey Block Party by Burnt Ends, Feed9Billion Singapore Restaurant Week, Singapore Vegan Festival 2022, and a Chinatown Breakfast Walk. Participate in these events to fully enjoy the Singapore Food Festival experience!
