Museum of Ice Cream to launch Singapore’s First Official Dessert Guide Book

Sweet tooths will be glad to know that Singapore will be getting its first ever official dessert book, which is set to be unveiled in October 2023.

Sweet Spots by Museum of Ice Cream (MOIC)

Museum of Ice Cream has launched an initiative called “Sweet Spots” in search of the best dessert establishment across the island as well as showcasing unique local desserts. It’s a community-driven initiative and since April 2023, they have invited public to nominate their favourite dessert spot in leading up to the debut of the official dessert guide book for Singapore.

“We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate the inaugural Sweet Spots campaign than by bringing together these exceptional chefs and their creations under one roof, and recognizing their exemplary creations with the SPOONS award,” said Mr.  Pirakash T., Head of Asia-Pacific of Figure8 and Museum of Ice Cream.

The official dessert guide book “Sweet Spots” will showcase Singapore’s diverse culinary landscape by featuring the best spots for sweet treats across the island, from traditional hawkers, to cafes, patisseries, and fine dining establishments.

50 Award Winners to Be Unveiled

Selected dessert establishments will receive a coveted SPOONS award at a gala party and award ceremony to be held in 28 October 2023.

Award winners are ranked in 3 tiers to receive the coveted SPOONS award, with 3 SPOONS awards given to the top 10 establishments, 2 SPOONS awards given to 15 establishments, and 1 SPOON award given to 25 establishments.

5 award winners will take over all the treat stations at MOIC to showcase their delightful delicacies to the public for one day. Tickets for this special event will go on sale on 16 October 2023.
