2. Rustic Rumble in the West
Let’s be honest here: most of us who resides anywhere but in the west hardly explore the west at all. Frequently associated with jungles and factories, the west is so much more if you know where to look. There are a couple of Michelin starred eateries in Jurong if you haven’t heard!
Discover Singapore’s very own pottery paradise at Thow Kwang Pottery Jungle and the oldest wood-firing Dragon kiln built in the 1940s. Kok Fah Technology Farm also hosts a weekend market where you can buy the freshest local produce! Then, at the Singapore Discovery Centre, take a trip back in time to see how Singapore has evolved from a Malay Kingdom colony to the bustling metropolis it is today. The 3.5hour tour will conclude with lunch at Song Fa Bakuteh.

3. Peranakan Culture Popiah with Joo Chiat & Katong Heritage Walk
For those staying in the west or who is a fan of Peranakan cuisine, it’s time for a trip to the east! Katong, which was once filled with coconut plantations and used as a weekend retreat by wealthy city dwellers, evolved into a residential suburb by the early twentieth century. It was populated by an expanding English-educated middle class, which included Peranakan and Eurasians.
