Good news for travellers from Brunei and New Zealand! Singapore will be easing travel restriction from September 1 onwards, allowing tourists from Brunei and New Zealand to visit Singapore. These travellers will not be required to serve the 14-days stay-home notice, instead, they will undergo a mandatory Covid-19 test upon arrival.
The decision was made after a thorough risk assessment in both countries. It is important to note that this is not a green-lane or a fast-track arrangement, for people in Singapore who are planning for outbound travel to these countries, they might have to wait for a little while more, as discussions are still underway.
What to Expect For Brunei and New Zealand Travellers
Travellers entering Singapore and who have remained in either Brunei or New Zealand in the past 14 consecutive days will be tested for COVID-19 upon arrival at the airport, instead of serving the 14-day stay-home notice. They must test negative for the coronavirus before being allowed to go about their activities in Singapore.
Visitors from these two countries will need to apply for an Air Travel Pass between seven and 30 days before their intended date of entry into Singapore. They can apply for the pass from Sep 1, for travel from Sep 8. More information will be provided by Singapore’s Ministry of Transport this week.
For returning Singapore citizens, Permanent Residents and Long-Term Pass Holders, you will not have to serve stay-home notice instead you will undergo a Covid-19 test upon arrival. You do not have to apply for an ATP.

Singaporeans and residents of Singapore are advised to defer all travel abroad, except for essential business and official travel under green-lane and fast-lane arrangements.
