Experience the Transformative Power of Art: Mit Jai Inn’s Interactive Installations and a Community Weaving Project at UBS Art Studio

ART SG is back in Singapore for it’s third edition in 2025 as Southeast Asia’s leading international art fair, presented by Founding and Lead Partner UBS! Known for their commitment to fostering a vibrant art scene while supporting contemporary art and artists, UBS Art Collection has commissioned Thai artist Mit Jai Inn to create interactive artworks for UBS Art Studio.

In his solo presentation, Mit Jai Inn will be bringing his signature use of colours and boundary-defying art pieces to ART SG. Some of his previous showcases such as The Window (2024), a 10 metre wide canvas with cuts and slits offering the audience merely a glimpse of of the wall behind. On the other side, The Wall (2024), comprises of interactive double-sided paintings suspended in mid air encouraging viewers to get up close and navigate around the installation to look beyond what is immediately visible.

Also on display, Untitled, ST DD23 (2022), a rainbow coloured painting that envisions Mit’s perspective of an aesthetic world that provides an escape from a complex reality.

At another section of the UBS Art Studio, the Sustainable Weaving Studio features a 60 metre long tapestry woven using upcycled materials by UBS Staff, community partners. Members of the public are also welcome to participate during the fair! The significance of this installation commemorates Singapore’s 60 years of independence and also the launch of UBS’s Art for All community art program.

This highlights Mit’s belief in art as a social force, inspiring and connecting with others.
