Best of Show Designer Gardens
This year’s Best of Show Designer Gardens competition promises to be a visual feast. Held at Suntec Singapore, Level 6, the competition will feature award-winning garden designs from local and international designers. The showcase will include two categories: Landscape Gardens and Fantasy Gardens. The former will highlight excellent horticultural design principles and planting concepts, while the latter will captivate visitors with imaginative plant and flower displays combined with creative lighting and props. Expect stunning creations that reflect the unique styles and cultural backgrounds of the participating designers.

Floral Windows to the World Championship
Returning with an exciting new format, the Floral Windows to the World Championship (formerly known as Floral Windows to the World) will be a focal point of the festival. From 3 to 5 August 2024, 16 floral designers from around the globe will compete live to create their masterpieces in real-time. The competition will be divided into three stages: Heats (16 competitors), Semi-Finals (10 competitors) and the Grand Final (5 competitors). The top five finalists will present their work at a ticketed dinner event on 5 August, where the Grand Champion will be announced. This live competition element is sure to add a dynamic edge to the festival, showcasing the creativity and skills of top floral artists.

Balcony Gardens
For those with a green thumb, the Balcony Gardens segment is a tribute to apartment living and compact spaces. Designers will transform 3×3 meter balcony areas into stunning, tranquil retreats. These displays will offer inspiration for urban dwellers looking to create their own green sanctuaries.

Other Activities
In addition to these highlights, SGF 2024 will feature a variety of engaging activities. The Singapore Gardeners’ Cup will bring together local community gardening groups to compete in creating thematic garden displays with a focus on sustainability. On 3 August, the Landscape Design Challenge will highlight emerging talent from local Institutes of Higher Learning while Floral Harmony 2024 will celebrate the creativity of youth and children in its floral competition. The International FDSS Cup – Floral Designing Competition will return on 7 August, showcasing top floral designers from around the globe. Finally, the SGF Master Series, running from 3 to 6 August, will offer hands-on workshops and demonstrations for enthusiasts of all levels.
