Here are some of my favourite spots in Singapore which are perfect for the ‘gram. While Singapore may not be the cheapest city for a long vacation, these are some places you can hangout for FREE and still have a good time with your friends. Just make sure your mobile phone is fully charged and have enough internet data to keep you going.#
1. Supertrees Light Show @ Gardens by the Bay
It’s perpetually summer in Singapore so if you’re not getting tickets to visit one of the air-conditioned conservatories in Gardens by the Bay, then it is highly recommended to swing by just before 7.45pm or 8.45pm to admire the Supertrees. A 15-minute music and light show will transform the colossal solar-powered Supertrees every evening. The Garden Rhapsody takes place twice daily and it is free for all to enjoy.

2. Art Murals in Little India
Singapore is often branded as a bustling financial hub in the region with its trademark skyscrapers of glass and steel. But scratch the surface, you’ll find pockets of creativity in the neighbourhoods like Chinatown, Waterloo Street and Little India. Pre-war shophouses and buildings have been carefully conserved and revitalised with art murals.
Take in the sights of Little India and discover its multicultural history along the vibrant art trail at absolute zero cost and plenty of #OOTD for your instagram. Just make sure you get a bottle of water to keep yourself hydrated under the sun and an umbrella in case it rains!

3. Rail Corridor
One of the rustic gems in Singapore, the Rail Corridor was once a railway line connecting Singapore to the rest of the Malay Peninsula in the 1900s.
Formerly owned by Malaysia but was returned to Singapore in 2011, this railway line remains a part of Singapore’s landscape and plays a vital role for our biodiversity. Who says Singapore is just a concrete jungle? A trip here will change your perspective, this is the real jungle. Currently, only one part of the 24km-long rail corridor is open to the public, which is where you spot the striking steel structure amidst the lush greenery.
We are looking forward to the completion of the entire railway in 2021, which will prove to be a soothing respite from our increasingly urbanised landscape.

4. 150 East Coast Road
This colourful row of single-storey terrace houses spotting a mix of Peranakan and Western architectural style is a perfect backdrop for your #OOTD or #WIWT, but they often go unnoticed or overshadowed by the perfectly painted Peranakan-themed shophouses along 5 Koon Seng Road. What’s interesting to know is that these single-storey terraces are built beside a former coastline, which explains why the terrace houses are elevated above the ground to guard against the rising tides.

5. Henderson Waves
The highest pedestrian bridge in Singapore, Henderson Waves is about 36 metres (12-storey high) above Henderson Road. It is the perfect spot for amateur photographers honing their skills to capture the afterglow and a playground for all instagrammers. The bridge resembles an undulating shape of a wave and is considered to be one of the architectural marvels in Asia.

6. Keong Saik Road

Chinatown offers plenty of photo opportunities. Venture a little further, and you’ll find Keong Saik Road, a charming blend of old and new. One of the most photographed spots in Singapore is the iconic white heritage shophouses against the backdrop of the tallest public housing at Duxton Hill.
