Here’s what you need to do:

• Pay with a Mastercard (credit card)
• Choose Downtown Refund (in-store GST refund, not at the airport)
• Complete the refund back to the same Mastercard

The extra 15% refund from Mastercard is capped at $250 in SGD per transaction, but it’s essentially free money on top of your standard GST refund. If you’re making a significant purchase, this adds up fast.

Example: Let’s say you spend $500 in SGD. Your standard GST refund would be around $42 (9% tax). With the Mastercard promotion, you’d get an additional $6.30 (15% of $42), bringing your total refund to approximately $48.30. That’s nearly 10% back on your purchase.
