What happens during the Kidney Mud Moxibustion treatment?
The session begins with a consultation with a wellness therapist and there will be a form to fill out in order to better understand your health concerns. I know you must be wondering: is it going to be painful? What should you do before and after the treatment?
The treatment begins with a warm-up Herbal Oil Massage on the meridian points. Afterward, the therapist evaluates your condition based on the level of soreness you experience when pressing the vital acupuncture points on your lower back.
After the herbal oil massage, she used the meridian brush to stimulate the meridian points to revitalise ‘Qi’ and accelerate the absorption of herbs. The meridian brush is a form of massaging tool, and the brushing notion helps to expel dampness and gas from the body.
The last step of the treatment is the application of the Herbal Mud Mask for kidney health. As the mask is applied, you may experience a tingling sensation caused by the opening of your pores.
It is not recommended to shower immediately after the herbal mud mask treatment due to its warming effect. It is advised to wait for about 2 hours.
