THAILAND, Chiang Rai – Just outside the city of Chiang Rai lies Wat Rong Khun, a stunningly beautiful white temple, that can certainly lay claim to Thailand’s most beautiful architecture.

Flanking the start of the Bridge of the Cycle of Rebirth are two guardians that stave off the worldly desires such as lust, greed, and alcohol, represented by the clawing hands that stretch out from the ground. The bridge reinforces the belief that only by forgoing such desires can one reach the Gates of Heaven.
