Staycation in Singapore: 3 Chic Hotels under $250 per night

As many of you might already know, STAYCATIONS ARE AVAILABLE FOLKS!

It’s been a long time coming indeed, and while safe travel is still and will always be the idealistic dream, staycations are travel-lite and can do well in a pinch especially if you need a mental break from everything going on.

We’ve recently put out a staycation guide for a zen retreat featuring some hotels near Botanic Gardens, but with those hotels and many on the original list, they were quite expensive.

With more hotels being allowed to reopen, there are more affordable options being made available as well! So if you’ve been planning to go for a staycation but don’t want to break the bank, consider these options below!

Staycation in Singapore: 3 Chic Hotels under $250 per night

1) Lloyd’s Inn

Lloyd’s Inn is an incredibly popular staycation venue and we can’t argue against it.

A 34-room boutique hotel with 8 different room types set in the heart of Somerset, Lloyd’s Inn has a minimalist design and concept that will make the eyes of every Millennial and Gen Z turn into hearts.

Surrounded by lush greenery, it’s well-hidden enough that it feels like a true escape from the frenetic pace of the city but still close in proximity to town that you can go out and explore the city like a tourist.

Prices start from SGD$160++.

2) Hotel G

Located in between Orchard and Bugis, Hotel G is a boutique chic hotel in a prime location. Unlike Lloyd’s Inn previously, this is not a place you book to lounge and laze the day away.

Their 308 rooms all cater to the Instagrammer deep within all of us, so you’ll be snapping away before heading out to explore the various points of interest in the area. From affordable dim sum to shopping streets, you’ll be out and about from the get-go.

Do note that the hotel rooms can be a tad bit small, but #aesthetics, so hey.

Prices start from SGD$130++.

3) Hotel Mono

From its exterior facade to the lobby, and all the way to the individual rooms, Hotel Mono stays true to its monochrome identity.

Repurposing heritage shophouses into modern accommodations is a tried and tested approach in Singapore and Hotel Mono knows better than to deviate from it. Occupying six historical shophouses in the iconic neighbourhood of Chinatown,

They have 46 rooms with 8 different room types ranging from a family room to a studio room, and even loft rooms. And of course, they all have the same colour palette, in case you were still wondering.

Hotel Mono certainly offers a fresh staying experience, but those who need colours in their life may want to stay away.

Prices start from SGD$104++.
