By now you’d have known that the pandemic has basically cancelled every one of our overseas holiday plans and the decline in international air travel badly affects tourism businesses in Singapore.
The Purpose of SingapoRediscovers Vouchers
The SingapoRediscovers Vouchers serve as an initiative to support the beleaguered tourism sector such as hotels, attractions and tours, by encouraging locals to explore and rediscover Singapore.
And this is the first time in Singapore’s history that every citizen aged 18 years and above will be getting tourism credits to go on a holiday in their very own hometown! How cool is that! (It’s been some twenty years ever since I stepped onboard the Singapore Flyer.)
Who will be receiving the SingapoRediscovers Vouchers
Every Singaporean aged 18 years and above will be getting $100 tourism vouchers in denominations of $10 (e.g. 10 x $10) to spend locally starting from December 1 onwards. Just in time for the holiday season! But wait, you don’t have to spend it all at once, the vouchers are valid until 30 June 2021.
All Singaporeans above 18 years of age are also entitled to purchase up to six subsidised child or youth tickets for attractions and tours, if they have family members under the age of 18.
How to redeem the SingapoRediscovers Vouchers
If you’re a Singapore citizen, you should have your SingPass with you. A SingPass is required to redeem the SingapoRediscovers Vouchers.
There are only five authorised platforms for you to use your SingapoRediscovers Vouchers. They are:
- Changi Recommends
- GlobalTix
- Klook
- Traveloka
- Trip.com

What Can You Spend the SingapoRediscovers Vouchers On
The SingapoRediscovers Vouchers can be used on attractions, hotels and tours that have received approval to re-open or resume, and are eligible merchants. You can browse the experiences via any one of the five authorised booking platforms.
Look out for experiences, tours and attractions marked with the SingapoRediscovers Vouchers icon.
It is also important to note that you cannot combine the SingapoRediscovers Vouchers of another person to make the redemption.
For those who are wondering if the vouchers can be used for ‘Work from Hotel or Daycation’, unfortunately, it’s not eligible. The vouchers can only be used to make bookings that include at least one overnight stay in the hotel room.
