Viral Desserts: Lafayette’s Exclusive New-York Croissant Can Now Be Found At Bukit Timah!

A sweet treat has made its way to the little red dot.

These circular croissants were first made popular by a bakery in New York City. Lafayette Grand Café and Bakery is an everyday grand café that serves French cooking in Downtown Manhattan.

Their bakery made an explosive comeback after a 2-years long hiatus by introducing a new menu item. Lafayette Bakery became the talk of the town after their new croissants, also known as “Suprême”, went viral on various social media platforms.

The “Suprême” was first seen on Lafayette’s Instagram as a brand-new item to celebrate their return on March 31. The innovative French pastries garnered the attention of many locals on Instagram and amassing over 12.5 million views on Tiktok.

These buttery and flakey creme-filled pastries have officially made their debut in Singapore. A local bakery, Swish Rolls, has introduced these viral croissants to the local market. Their interpretations of the pastry are called “Croons” and comes in 5 different flavours – Pistachio, Seasalt Butter, Summer Berries, Varlhona Chocolate and Ham & Cheese. Each piece is priced at SGD$5.80 with the exception of Seasalt Butter, which costs SGD$3.00.

The “Croons” can be found at Cluny Court on Bukit Timah Road. If it’s too far or you just want to avoid the hassle of travelling, Swish Rolls also offers next-day delivery if you place an order on their website. Their signature swiss rolls are also on the website for order.
