Pizza Innovator and Chef Massimiliano Prete Brings Italy’s Trending Gourmet Pizzas to Singapore for 3 Nights only 1-3 April

If you are a big fan of all things Italian and especially pizzas, you’re in for a  treat.

Award-winning Italian dough maestro Chef Massimiliano Prete, one of Italy’s most influential pizza chefs, will showcase his extraordinary dough fermentation expertise at Singapore’s top pizzeria La Bottega Enoteca for an exclusive three-night pop-up from 1-3 April 2025.

Ranked 17th in Italy and 36th worldwide by 50 TopPizza 2024, Chef Massimiliano specialises in the art of dough fermentation, earning him the title “lievitista” (dough fermentation master). He has also been named “Ambassador of Pizza” by Slow Food.

For three nights only, The Turin-based chef will present an exceptional 9-course pizza degustation menu, featuring 8 distinct pizza crusts plus a dessert, each highlighting his mastery of leavening techniques and innovative flavour combinations.

The pop-up showcases Chef Massimiliano’s distinguished career, which began at age 15 when he left his hometown of Puglia to pursue his passion for pizza. His Turin restaurant, Sestogusto, has garnered numerous accolades, including Best Dessert Menu Award 2024 (50 TopPizza), Best Contemporary Pizza Award 2024 (Golosaria), and Special Creativity Award 2024 (Identità Golose).

Chef Massimiliano Prete, Sepia + Nera Pizza, Croccante Orzo + Vitello Tonnato Pizza

Diners can expect novel pizza creations like the vibrant magenta “Barbabietola + Stellata” with beet-infused dough topped with yoghurt and marinated salmon, the visually striking black “Seppia + Nera” infused with squid ink, and the Barley infused crispy crust “Croccante Orzo + Vitello Tonnato Pizza”, paired with Vitello Tonnato (cold veal with tuna) sauce. The exclusive 9-course pizza degustation menu, priced at $158++ per person, concludes with a specially crafted “Zuppa Inglese” dessert, which is a trifle-like layered Italian dessert of mascarpone, custard gelato and Savoiardi lady fingers dipped in the scarlet spice-forward Alchermes Italian liqueur with coffee and chocolate. This sweet treat is specially crafted for this event by La Bottega Enoteca.
