Eleven years in the F&B game is no small feat, especially in Singapore. For Eat 3 Bowls 呷三碗, the homegrown Taiwanese eatery that started as a humble stall at Seah Im Food Centre back in 2015, reaching that milestone means one thing: going bigger. To celebrate 11 years, the brand is giving patrons exactly that: 11 brand-new dishes from $7.20, across all 10 outlets islandwide.
If you’ve been keeping tabs on the brand, you’ll know Eat 3 Bowls has always been the go-to for accessible, comforting Taiwanese food without the trip to Taipei. This latest menu expansion cements that reputation, bringing in familiar Taiwanese street food favourites alongside crowd-pleasing rice and noodle sets that feel right at home on a weeknight dinner run.

The New Bites Worth Your Attention

The Braised Pork Belly Rice ($9.90) is worth ordering for the combination alone. The slow-simmered pork belly is tender with a slight chew, but it’s when you mix it into the rice with the pickled mustard greens that it really comes together, each spoonful is savoury and deeply satisfying, with the mustard greens cutting through the fattiness just enough to keep you going back for more.
The Crispy Fried Tofu ($7.50) takes inspiration from the beloved and notorious Taiwanese smelly fried tofu, but makes it approachable for the uninitiated. No pungent ferment here instead, regular tofu gets a clever deep-fry treatment that turns it into golden, aromatic cubes with a satisfying outer crisp and a pillowy centre. It’s served with cool cucumber slices, pickled vegetables, and an in-house garlic sauce that ties everything together with a punchy, savoury finish.

The Crispy Pork Cutlet (available as part of the Zha Jiang Noodles set at $12.90) is exactly what a Taiwanese pork chop should be. The batter is well-seasoned and achieves the right level of crispness while the meat inside stays tender throughout. Paired with the Zha Jiang Noodles, which are hand-pulled wheat noodles topped with a savoury fried meat sauce made with fermented black soybean paste and minced pork, it’s a full, satisfying bowl.
Other standouts from the new menu include the Three Cups Chicken Set Meal ($14.50) brings the aromatic Taiwanese classic (sesame oil, rice wine, soy sauce, caramelised ginger, garlic, fresh basil) to the table in a full set complete with radish soup, Taiwanese pearl rice, and a drink.
Beyond the new additions, there’s one returning dish worth noting: the Signature Braised Beef Noodles ($16.90) is now available across all outlets – no longer limited to the NEX branch where it once drew daily queues and sold out before lunch.

The bowl features beef shank braised for hours in a spiced broth built on more than 10 aromatics including star anise, cinnamon, and Sichuan peppercorns, served with springy wheat noodles, pickled mustard greens, and scallions.
Eat 3 Bowls has long been the go-to for a Taiwanese cuisine fix in Singapore, and at 11 years old, it clearly isn’t resting on its laurels. The expanded menu gives you more reason to visit again. Yes, it skews carb-heavy (this is Taiwan-inspired comfort food, after all), but with the new sides and snacks in play, there’s room to build a more rounded meal—and the bubble tea is, as always, a must-order.
Eat 3 Bowls is available at Compass One, Century Square, JEM, Hillion Mall, Causeway Point, The Seletar Mall, White Sands, Nex, SingPost, and Square 2.
