For the second time this year, the Chinatown Festival Committee is hosting a lantern adoption drive, allowing you to adopt stunning street lanterns completely free of charge. This initiative not only adds a festive touch to your home but also supports sustainability efforts by repurposing these intricate decorations.

A Unique Adoption Experience
Just like the popular Chinese New Year lantern adoption, this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival event offers a range of delightful items for adoption. Whether you’re enchanted by the whimsical moon bunnies, elegant hanging pieces or decorative dividers, there’s something for everyone. The only exception is the centrepiece, which will remain in place to dazzle festival-goers.

How to Adopt
Participating is simple! Interested individuals must fill out an online application form by 2 October 2024. In your application, you’ll need to specify which items you’d like to adopt or upload a photo of your desired lanterns to clarify your preferences.
Successful applicants will be notified about self-collection on 18 October 2024. Keep in mind that lantern adoption is subject to availability and the discretion of the Chinatown Festival Committee.
