The awards were given out based on a global survey conducted by Skytrax between August 2022 and February 2023. They are regarded as a quality benchmark for the world airport industry, assessing customer service and facilities across over 550 airports. The survey and awards are independent of any airport control, influence or input.
This isn’t the first time Changi airport has been awarded a prize – it’s held the top spot since 2013. But it fell behind Hamad International Airport and Haneda Airport in 2021 and 2022.
