Maze Land

Ever heard of the Korean Buzzword, ‘Healing’? If you have not, Healing is often used to mean recharge or unwind your mind and wellbeing. A common activity people like to do during their healing time is to enjoy nature and the company of others.
Maze Land is exactly the place for healing. Boasting beautiful landscapes throughout the 4 seasons, Maze Land is where nature and fun converge. Enjoy the complicated mazes, lush greenery and even the Maze Puzzle Museum located on the premises. If you prefer a more serene scene, take a stroll through the nature walk and bamboo forest.

The main attractions of Maze Land are of course their mazes. The main 3 mazes in Maze Land are thoughtfully modelled and named after Jeju’s Samda (三多) which are Wind, Stone and Woman.
The easiest of the 3 Mazes is the Woman Maze, which is about 1.3km long. The Maze of Woman is shaped to look like Jeju’s female divers, Haenyeo, after diving for shellfish. As you figure your way out, enjoy the red camellias and woody fragrance that fills the maze.
The Maze of Wind is ranked second on the difficulty list. It is based on the famous legend Labyrinth of Crete, Greece and is shaped to look like a typhoon. The arborvitae trees lining the maze will keep your spirit uplifted.
The most difficult maze of Maze Land is the Maze of Whinstone or Dolmiro. The entire maze is created to reflect an image of Jeju’s iconic Dol Hareubangs. They are commonly seen as a symbol of Jeju and are regarded as guardian spirits. This maze is a whopping 2.4km long. As you traverse through the maze, there will be sprinklers showering you with refreshing water fog. The top of the stone walls is volcanic clusters, which maximise the emission of far-infrared negative ions. Ring the huge bell at the end of the maze to announce your victory!
There are 2 smaller mazes in Maze Land called the Dream Maze and Labyrinth. But that’s not all there is to Mazeland. You can find a Museum of Maze Puzzle and other hidden attractions like Aejiang, a warm forest path with bamboo forests and a gorgeous flower garden.

Eco Land Theme Park is a theme park that encapsulates the natural beauty of Jeju. Continuing the theme of ‘Healing’, Eco Land provides a retreat from the bustle of city life.
The park spans over 300,000 pyeong (~254 acres) of Gotjawal Forest and is modelled after the Baldwin Steam Locomotive in the 1800s. There is a total of 5 train stops, each bringing you to a different themed area in the park – Ecobridge, Lakeside, Picnic Garden, and Lavender, Green Tea & Rose Garden Station.
Eco Land Theme Park recommends allocating an entire day to fully appreciate the beauty and attractions there. Scattered around the park are activities great for families, like picnic grounds and even bumper boats, which are extremely popular amongst children. You can even find a seasonal open-air foot bath, where you can soak your feet while enjoying the mesmerising landscape in front of you.

9.81 Park

This is the place to be if you’re seeking an adrenaline rush in the serene Jeju. Nestled between Aewol Beach and Hallasan Mountain is 9.81 Park. The park is well known for its gravity racing, which is as exciting as it sounds. The acceleration due to gravity at the surface of the Earth is about 9.81m/second, which is how the park got its name.
The gravity racing vehicles are motorless and eco-friendly, powered solely by downhill acceleration. They have 3 different tracks that are optimised for gravity racing, each with a different difficulty level. While you race downhill, you get to enjoy the scenic view of Jeju Island (if you’re not too focused on winning)
