South Korea Goes Digital with New Arrival Card: What Travellers Need to Know

SEOUL, South Korea – South Korea has launched a new digital system for submitting arrival information, streamlining the entry process for international visitors. Effective today, travellers can submit their required details online in advance, moving away from the traditional paper-based forms.

While the new digital system is now active, travellers can continue using the paper arrival card until December 2025, providing a transition period for travellers to adapt.

How to Submit the e-Arrival Card

The e-Arrival Card can be accessed through the official e-Arrival Card website, which supports both PC and mobile devices.

Visitors can complete and submit the e-Arrival Card online up to three days before their scheduled arrival (based on Korean Standard Time). This includes submitting on the day of arrival, one day prior, or two days prior.

The e-Arrival Card remains valid for 72 hours after submission. If travellers fail to enter South Korea within this timeframe, they will need to submit a new form. While travelers can download a PDF file of their submitted form, it is not required for entry inspection.

For visitors under 14 years old, a family member or another person must complete the declaration form on their behalf.

The form can also be submitted on behalf of adults and for multiple people at once, making it convenient for families and groups.
