Singapore’s National Day celebrations are coming closer to home this year. On August 10, 2024, five heartland locations across the island will host special National Day events from 4 PM to 9 PM. Residents in Bishan, Punggol, Yishun, Paya Lebar, and Buona Vista can look forward to vibrant celebrations in their own neighbourhoods. These celebrations will bring the excitement of National Day right to local neighbourhoods, complete with activities, performances, and fireworks.
A diverse and engaging National Day experience across the island
Each of the five heartland celebration sites will feature a variety of attractions, you can expect to see impressive static displays of vehicles from the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF), Singapore Police Force (SPF), and Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF). The locations will also feature family-friendly activities, exciting carnival games, and hands-on workshops to keep everyone entertained.
Live stage performances will add to the festive atmosphere, showcasing local talent and cultural diversity. As a special treat, each site will cap off the evening with a fireworks display.
The celebrations are organized by the People’s Association (PA) in partnership with the NDP 2024 Executive Committee.
Here’s how to join the NDP @ Heartland Celebrations
If you’re planning to join the heartland celebrations, mark your calendar for July 12, 2024. That’s when you can start collecting your National Day Heartland Celebrations tickets from your nearest Community Club or Centre (CC). Remember, it’s first-come, first-served, so you might want to act fast. You can pick up to two tickets per person, while supplies last. Your ticket is your key to accessing the celebration site in your district and comes with a bonus – a complimentary NDP pack.
