A New Gateway to Malacca
Scoot will be flying to Malacca five times a week, providing a swift 55-minute journey from Singapore. This service marks a significant enhancement in connectivity between the two cities, catering to both leisure travellers eager to experience Malacca’s rich cultural heritage and those seeking a quick getaway.
Malacca, a historic city on Malaysia’s southwestern coast, is renowned for its rich cultural heritage and colonial architecture. In addition to Melaka, Scoot is also launching a new route to Kertajati International Airport in Indonesia, starting 28 September 2024. Flights to Kertajati will operate twice a week, with fares starting at SGD $92.

Passengers will enjoy Scoot’s latest Embraer E190-E2 aircraft for these new routes. This modern addition promises a comfortable travel experience with its 2-2 all economy class configuration, seating a total of 112 passengers which is designed to maximize passenger comfort for flights of this duration.
Enhanced Regional Connectivity
Scoot’s new destinations are part of a broader strategy to enhance regional connectivity. The addition of these routes is made possible with their recent acquisition of additional Embraer E190-E2 aircraft, bringing its total to four.
These aircraft will not only support new routes but also reinforce existing services to popular destinations such as Indonesia’s Makassar, Balikpapan and Pekanbaru, Davao City in Philippines and Vientiane in Laos.
