The Good Old Games; A Light-Up Installation
Kicking off on August 1st, don’t miss out on the nostalgic light-up installation outside the museum. Featuring life-sized replicas of classic Singaporean joy of playing with chapteh, five stones, gasing (spinning tops) and country flag erasers! These installation promises to transport you back to the carefree days of childhood. Bring your loved ones, strike a pose and share your memories with #NationalDayatNMS.
The Singapura Life by Sengkang Green Primary School
For families with kids, step into the Glass Atrium on Level 2 and experience “The Singapura Life” presented by Sengkang Green Primary School, available from 9:30am to 4pm. Engage in activities that celebrate Singapore’s multicultural identity through crafting ethnic costumes for paper dolls and sharing your experiences with food and games.
National Day Colouring Competition
Families are invited to participate in the National Day Colouring Competition held at the Gallery Theatre, Basement Level from 10am to 1pm, with registration beginning at 9:30am. This activity welcomes children aged 6 to 13 to express their creativity by illustrating our local icons in their unique styles. Entry is free with a refundable deposit of $10 per participating child and cool prizes await outstanding entries. To secure your spot, we recommend pre-registering online!
Live Telecast of National Day Parade
Experience the thrill of the National Day Parade live under the museum’s iconic Banyan tree with your family and friends. Spread out your picnic mats under the stars and join fellow Singaporeans in celebrating together, rounding off the day with joyous memories.
