SINGAPORE – The Supertree Grove of Gardens by the Bay make for an ultra futuristic sight, especially when you catch them after sundown. Twice every evening, the Supertrees put on a mesmerising display of multicoloured lights, shifting hues in tandem with a stirring score that floats through the night.

The best way to enjoy the show is to pick a tree, and lie down underneath it, staring straight up into the sky. It’s easy to lose yourself in the captivating show, imagining you’ve temporarily been transported to an alien planet where metal trees grow and signal each other with countless winking lights.
