JAPAN, Yamanashi – Lake Shojiko is one of the Fuji Five lakes, and the smallest one at that. Rather removed from the typical tourist bustle of Mount Fuji, Lake Shojiko offers a different pace, one that is quietly beautiful and serene.
Many flock to Mount Fuji for photo taking or hiking, but the peaceful air around Lake Shojiko makes it a great place for some quiet reflection. Sit by the banks of the river, look at the ripples in the water, hear the leaves rustle, and idle the day away.
