CHINA, Chongqing – An example of the marvelous, stunning architecture that has come to define Chongqing, the Twin River Bridges is an iconic feature of the Yuzhong peninsula. Calling to mind ancient Chinese weaving shuttles, the partially cable-stayed design is shared by both the Dongshuimen Bridge that sits over the Yangtze River and the Qianximen Bridge over the Jialing River.

The bridges both consist of dual decks, with the upper consisting of four lanes for motor traffic and two pedestrian walkways, while the lower accommodates two rail lines. Together the Twin River Bridges stitch together traffic to and from the Jiangbei district, Yuzhong peninsula, and Nan’an district.
