Bangkok is undoubtedly a hot country, with temperatures soaring above 30 degrees celsius and high humidity blanketing the country. What better way to cool down than eating a cooling ice cream, especially one that looks Instagrammable at the same time!
Pop Icon is taking a new spin on appreciating iconic landmarks in their area, ice cream inspired by the Wat Arun; also known as the Temple of Dawn.
Named after the temple, Flower of Dawn has been going viral, being shared on social media by both tourists and locals.

Its design mimics the tiles of the temple, inspired by the blue ceramic plate and flower details of the pagoda. The outline comes from a traditional Thai decorative pattern named “Prajam Yam”. The makers decided to use these designs so that visitors might spend more time appreciating the little details of the pagoda.
Arun Café, located at Wat Arun, is currently the only store who sells this ice cream. At 89 baht, the ice cream comes in two flavours, Butterfly Pea Coconut and Thai Milk Tea.
The makers say the money would go to the temple’s Buddhism education and medical expenses.
So, enjoy your ice cream while you’re there and remember that you are contributing to charity at the same time.
