This New Sentosa Postbox Lets You Mail a Postcard from the Southernmost Point of Asia

We talk a lot about meaningful travel experiences: the kind that stick with you long after you’ve cleared customs and unpacked your bags. But sometimes, the most memorable moments aren’t the big-ticket attractions. They’re the quiet ones. The ones where you actually stop, look around, and feel something.

Sentosa’s newest experience is exactly that kind of moment and it involves a postcard, a pen, and one of the most popular bridges in Singapore.

What’s Going On

Sentosa Development Corporation has partnered with SingPost to set up Singapore’s most scenic posting box at Palawan Beach, right at the Southernmost Point of Continental Asia. The idea is beautifully simple: buy a postcard, write a message, send it to someone you love. From the edge of a continent.

It launched in late April 2026, and it’s already the kind of thing that deserves a spot on your Singapore itinerary, whether you’re visiting for the first time or you’ve lived here your whole life.

There’s a specially designed vending machine on-site that dispenses postcard kits.

Here’s how it works:

Step 1: Pick your postcard kit from the vending machine Two options. The standard postcard kit at $5 comes with one postcard design, a pen, and a stamp. If you want to go the extra mile (or you’re a collector at heart), the die-cut limited edition kit at $7 gives you two exclusive designs, an envelope, a pen, and a stamp. Both are genuinely nice. Not tourist-trap nice. Actually nice.

Step 2: Cross the suspension bridge This is the part where the experience earns its “scenic” title. The iconic suspension bridge to the islet is already a highlight in itself.

Step 3: Get the exclusive embossed stamp seal Here’s the detail that makes this worth doing. There’s an embossed stamp available only at this location, press it onto your postcard and you have something no airport gift shop can replicate. Instant collector’s item. Instant proof of adventure.

Step 4: Write your message With the South China Sea in front of you. We’re not going to tell you what to write, but we will say that “wish you were here” has never had a better backdrop.

Step 5: Post it Drop it in Singapore’s most scenic posting box and SingPost takes care of the rest. Postal collections happen at 5pm Monday to Thursday, and 6pm on Fridays. They deliver worldwide. Yes, worldwide! So go ahead and send it to your friend in Oslo or your cousin in Toronto.
