Singapore’s hospitality scene is as diverse as it is sophisticated. Whether you’re a first-time visitor or a seasoned traveller, the options for hotels are endless. For some, a hotel stay is more than just a place to rest and refresh—it’s a unique chapter in their own travel story.

Modern luxury meets local charm at Hotel Telegraph Singapore

Hotel Telegraph Singapore is a 5-star luxury boutique hotel located at 35 Robinson Road in the heart of Singapore’s Central Business District (CBD).

With just a glance, it becomes apparent that this exquisite establishment stands as a testament to Singapore’s colonial-era history.

The hotel is housed in a monumental neo-classical building that dates back to 1927. Originally designed by F.G. Lundon from Singapore’s oldest architectural firm, Swan and Maclaren, this magnificent 4-storey heritage building has been beautifully restored and refurbished. It holds great significance in Singapore’s telecommunications history, having served as the headquarter for Eastern Extension Telegraph Company, centring Singapore as the telecommunications hub for the Far East, housing all vital telegraph cables of the Eastern Hemisphere. Recognised for its historical value, it was accorded conservation status in 2000.

Location

Just steps away from the hotel lies Lau Pa Sat, also known as Telok Ayer Market, is an iconic hawker centre in Singapore. This vibrant hawker centre boasts a rich history and offers an impressive selection of over 100 stalls, each serving a tantalising range of local delights.
