Wheel Throwing vs Handbuilding Techniques

Wheel throwing is a type of pottery where you use a potter’s wheel to shape the clay into your desired form. This is usually done by first forming it into a cylindrical shape, then using your hands or tools to give it its final shape.
If you’re not interested in wheel throwing, you can try handbuilding techniques. Handbuilding is a type of pottery where you use your hands and simple tools to shape the clay into your desired form without using a potter’s wheel. This method is often seen as being more relaxed and organic, as it allows you to experiment more with the clay.
