ITALY, La Spezia – The small coastal town of Manarola is part of the Cinque Terre, a string of five fishing communities along the rugged eastern coastline of the Italian Riviera. This particular seaside town is said to be the oldest of the five, and many point to the medieval relics found within the town as evidence.
Walking around the colourful streets of Manarola, the experience and the atmosphere is just like what you expect seeing those seaside towns in the movies. Having an abundance of grapevines, Manarola is famous for their sweet Sciacchetrà wine, which aren’t all too expensive. The rush and sound of the waves hitting the cliffside, the sunrise and sunsets, Manarola is an idyllic retirement spot.
