MALTA, Blue Grotto – Undoubtedly one of the most mesmerising places in the world, the Blue Grotto along the southeastern coast of Malta is a can’t-miss destination with its deep and rich blue waters.
It got its name in the 1950s from a British soldier when he visited and compared it to the famed Capri’s Grotta Azzura. The Blue Grotto’s bright blue waters flow amongst a system of 7 caves with the iconic and impressive 30m rock arch, painting a scene that has been reprinted on many postcards and shared on Instagram.
When the bright sunlight caresses the surface of the cobalt waters, the beauty is simply indescribable, one that you have to visit to experience for yourself.
