CHINA, Guizhou – Fancy a walk in the clouds? Then head over to Fanjinshan (梵净山) in the southern Chinese city of Guizhou. This recent entrant to the UNSECO Natural Heritage list is home to over 2,000 species of flora and fauna, leading to its nickname as the gene database of China.
About 8,000 steps separate you from the peak, and trekking your way up takes about 4 hours. Looking for a cheat? Take the cable car to the Mushroom Stone – from there it’s a short hike up to the top.
