Singapore Airlines will soon be launching new flights to Beijing’s second newer airport, Beijing Daxing International Airport (PKX) in November later this year. This launch will see daily flights between the two hubs.
This new daily flight to PKX will be operated by Singapore Airlines’ Boeing 787-10 aircraft configured with 36 Business Class Seats and 301 Economy Class seats. The flight which will be designated the flight numbers SQ810/SQ811. SQ810 will depart Singapore at 12:30am and arrive into Beijing Daxing at 6:35am. The return flight SQ811 will depart from Beijing Daxing at 9:25AM and arrive in Singapore at 3:50PM.
Beijing Daxing International Airport opened in 2019, 4 years ago to its first commercial flight. The modernized alternative to Beijing Peking International Airport is a home hub for several Chinese carriers such as Air China, Beijing Capital Airlines, Eastern China Airlines, China Southern Airlines, China United Airlines and Xiamen Airlines. Beijing Daxing Airport offers passengers the ease of convenience to Beijing, Hebei, and Tianjin regions.
The vice-president at Beijing Daxing International Airport Kong Yue has said that Singapore Airlines will be the first foreign airline to operate services from Beijing Daxing International Airport to Singapore.
The busy hub of Beijing Capital International Aiport (PEK) will also see an increase from 18 to 21 weekly flights starting from August 5th. This addition marks an increase in the number of weekly flights to the Beijing region to 28 weekly flights from November.
