Calling all Demon Slayer fans! Sushi Tei is serving up a special menu inspired by your favourite Demon Slayer characters.
This is Sushi Tei first-ever anime-themed menu, inspired by the tale of Tanjiro, Nezuko, and other fan favourites.
Boasting a true Demon Slayer theme, 5 participating Sushi Tei outlets will bring the anime to life! Chopstick sleeves and placemats will also feature the four prominent characters — Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu and Inosuke — as well as the key Hashira characters.
Sushi Tei Cooking Up a Storm with their limited menu
Inspired by the Demon Slayer characters, from their appearances to their favourite foods and beloved iconic moments, they are as follows:
Tanjiro’s Okonomiyaki ($14.80) is a beautiful replica of the protagonist’s iconic black-and-biscay-green haori since his debut. A generous amount of spring onion is sprinkled atop a Japanese savoury pancake. Pieces of grilled seaweed are used to recreate the checkered pattern of his outfit.
Fans will immediately recognise Rengoku’s Beef Yakiniku Bento ($18.80), inspired by the delicious bento that Rengoku downed multiple servings of during the Mugen Train Arc. It sees juicy pan-fried sliced beef arrayed on a bed of glistening rice and is accompanied with creamy onsen egg, truly UMAI (yummy)!
Crowned as the most popular character in Demon Slayer according to Japan’s massive popularity poll, Zenitsu’s Unagi Sushi Roll ($14.80) features Zenitsu’s favourite food: unagi. With a luscious slice of eel draped over each block, this refreshing cucumber sushi roll is assembled with avocado, crab meat, and then topped with cheddar cheese.
Join the ranks of the Twelve Kizuki with Muzan’s Darkness Tonkatsu ($15.80) — a huge slab of pork cutlet, coated with black breadcrumbs, is expertly deep-fried to a tender and juicy finish. (Unfortunately, eating this would not turn you into a demon with superpowers.)
Done with your satisfying Demon Slayer meal? Refresh your palate with Nezuko’s Konpeito Ice Cream ($4.80) a scoop of Yuzu or Strawberry ice cream sprinkled with traditional hard candies. Be careful as the candies are hard to bite as they are made for Nezuko’s razor-sharp teeth.
Other special menu items include, Inosuke’s Tempura Platter, Gyomei’s Nabe, Uzui’s Fugu Karaage. And to satisfy your sweet tooth, Sanemi’s Botamochi is a sure-fire way to end the meal!
