CHINA, Tianjin – Nicknamed the Eye for the large spherical ball that props up the center of the main lobby, the Tianjin Binhai Library is yet another fantastical and eye-catching library in China. Featuring white terraced shelves that seemingly cascades from the ceiling to the floor, this gorgeous interior has been making the rounds on Instagram.

Boasting five levels, this colossal library looks quite honestly something that comes out of a sci-fi film. A little trickery is at play here, while there are numerous smaller rooms that have shelves stocked full with books, the main atrium have little to no books with the cascading shelves having images of books printed on! While some have lambasted this charade, one can’t deny the magnificence of the Tianjin Binhai Library.
