ITALY, Dolomites – Hidden amongst the Dolomites mountainscape in Northern Italy, is Lago di Braies, a picturesque cerulean lake that has birthed many Instagram photos.

While the various seasons grant Lago di Braies unique experiences respectively, summer would be the best season to visit Lake Braies where you can rent a wooden rowboat and cruise out into the lake. It’s part of the essential experience, and you can get them at the only beach hut located by the shore.

The reddish brown hue of the wooden boats make for great contrast against the bright blue waters of Lago di Braies. When the waters are calm and still, the clear reflection of the snowcap mountains surrounding the photogenic lake make for that picture-perfect shot.
